Pluggable
The plug holds the wires and pulls off the PCB header, so you can swap a board without rewiring. Specify plug and header separately.

All WOER rangesPluggablePCB screwScrew-freeBarrier
Pluggable, screw, screw-free and barrier terminal blocks in pitches from 2.50 to 13.0 mm, rated up to 600 V and 40 A, and tested at AC 1500 V for 1 minute.
Simplified cutaways of each terminal type, not to scale. Ratings are from the UNITECH catalogue.
Four types
Choose the type for your assembly, then narrow down by pitch, current and wire size.
Choose by pitch
Pitch is the centre-to-centre distance between poles. Tap one to see the part numbers that use it.

Know the terms
What each type is for, in one line each.
The plug holds the wires and pulls off the PCB header, so you can swap a board without rewiring. Specify plug and header separately.
Soldered to the board, with a screw clamp per wire. The torque value for each part is in its specifications.
The wire is held without a screw, which speeds up assembly and copes with vibration. Listed as “screw free” in the catalogue.
Larger pitches and raised walls between poles for higher voltage and current, up to 600 V and 40 A. Listed as “palisade” in the catalogue.
Where they fit

Field wiring onto control boards, power supplies and electronic equipment.

Fast, screwless connections in control panels and on machines.

Higher-current connections at 300 V and 600 V, with a wall between every pole.

All 139 part numbers with photos and ratings. Each part in the finder shows its catalogue page.
Download PDF PDF · 0.8 MB · All downloadsThe part number, the number of poles you need and the quantity. Most part numbers come in 2 to 24 poles; some pluggable parts go up to 22. For pluggable blocks, list the plug and the matching header as separate lines.
Pitch is the centre-to-centre distance between poles, in mm. It must match the hole spacing on your PCB, and it sets how large the terminal and its ratings can be. Some parts list two pitches, such as 5.00 / 5.08 mm.
It is the range of pole counts the part is offered in, from 2 positions to 24. “2*(2P–22P)” means a two-row part with 2 to 22 poles per row.
Those are listed without a wire clamp, for example PCB headers that a pluggable plug fits onto. The wire range and tightening torque apply to the parts that clamp a wire.
The UNITECH catalogue lists barrier terminal blocks as “palisade” terminals. On this site they are called barrier terminal blocks, the term most buyers search for.
